Welcome to Fresh Food Facts! 🥗 This is the day where we introduce different foods that you can include in your diet, share their health benefits, and show you different ways to prepare them! 🙌 We are going to start showcasing some produce that is currently in season for Spring! 🌷 Let’s talk about Strawberries! 🍓 Health Benefits: 🔘Strawberries are a great source of vitamin C which helps support a healthy immune system. 🔘The polyphenols in strawberries have been shown to improve insulin sensitivity in non-diabetic adults. 🔘Strawberries contain folate (vitamin B9) which is important for normal tissue growth and cell function. Ways To Prepare Strawberries : 🔘 Slice them to include them in your parfait, oatmeal, or açaí bowl. 🔘 Blend them in with other fresh ingredients to make a morning smoothie. 🔘 Mash them in a heated sauce pan with water, chia seeds, and a sweetener to make a jam.
