Welcome to coach tip Friday! With the holidays close at hand, it’s good to have a plan for handling the stress that can be generated by the busyness between Thanksgiving and New Years. Here are some ways to create a more peaceful internal environment: 1. If you find yourself having negative thoughts, ask yourself “is my thought based on facts?” 2. Identify what you are trying to do. Know your purpose. 3. Consider many different possible outcomes and their effects 4. View the situation from other perspectives Don’t make the assumption that a situation will have the same outcome as it did in the past 5. Avoid assuming one event caused another just because they happened at the same time As you continue to make changes to your way of thinking, have self compassion and grace for yourself!
